we need some experienced vets to lead the line and that can be relied on to do the basics, we need some emerging youth to keep and some rough diamonds to fund the next cycle.

One advantage this time around (if we are sensible about our ambitions for next year) should be that we don't need vets who can cope with the Prem - so we don't need to gamble on expensive re-treads or recovering crocks. Dependable championship players shouldn't need to cost the earth.
