As a consumer I have the right to get my money back if something is defective.
If one of those Spurs fans called and demanded a refund after that performance, they'd rightly be told no.
There's no expectation on a refund, no right to it and the gesture is just a way of acknowledging how bad it was. Definitely doesn't establish you as a consumer.
