Just written about that in reply to Adster. I didn't mind that time too much. I think I

would have been on a different bit of my NC journey though. I've followed the team since 1985 but didn't start going to matches regularly until the 1990s, so perhaps I missed out on the disappointment felt by others at the time.

Maybe it's as jamesward says, my expectation levels are different now.
