Dreadful recruitment track record since the magic Pukki/Emi summer.
60m almost entirely wasted (given lack of resale for most of that intake, destroyed might be a better word).
Panic managerial moves despite all the boasts about plans/lists/sticking to the philosophy.
Total refusal to lean in to things that have manifestly gone wrong leading directly to our current Pravda style comms with fans (albeit Wagner is doing his best).
The usual trolls will hate this, but f**king off up mountains, again creating a culture that signals that there are other things that are more important than giving everything to achieve success in this ultra competitive environment. Like f**king off up mountains.
Baffling recent use of the loans system to bring in players that are injured. Normann, Kabak, Hayden for a start. Who the f**k is doing the due diligence on these deals?
Creating what looks like a very expensive best in class youth set up that, as far as I can see, has produced almost nobody that looks close to Prem standard (Aarons, Godfrey etc don’t count, they were here already).
Even little things like the player wall, that you get your name on if you get on the pitch. Fuck that. Creates entirely the wrong signal for players that they’ve somehow made it if they play a few games. Reserve the wall for players that have really achieved something. How about creating a culture that values winning not joining in?
Spunking money away on vegetable patches, soccerbots etc when we should have a much more ruthless focus on the first team.
Last but not least, given all of the above on his charge sheet, having the bare faced cheek to suggest that it’s OUR fault.
