Depends on the time of day. For me if I'm running in the morning then I find that I don't need to a lot, perhaps a slice of toast with some peanut butter and a coffee which would be enough to get me around for an hour. If I was doing further then I'd have a bowl of porridge and give it an hour to digest. In the afternoon I'd want a decent lunch before any run and sometimes I have a handful of haribo before heading out. Good luck with your run, I started again after a long break last year and didn't enjoy the first few weeks. It does get easier!
