At home you can synchronise everything to arrive on the plate so it’s fresh and piping hot, whereas in a hotel everything is pre cooked awaiting your arrival. Which is fine, but not quite as nice. However, there is something wonderful about having someone else cook everything for you, and tackle all the washing up while you toddle off for a constitutional. It’s a trade off.
