If anyone thinks Naismith was a terrible signing, it is nothing compared to Leeds Jean-Kevin Augustin deal.
He appeared as a sub three times in their promotion winning campaign. They were obligate to sign him if they were promoted. They didn't with excuses due the season being extended as a result of covid.
The selling club successfully sued them, and agreed a £15.5m settlement. Now they play has successfully sued them for the terms of the 5 year contract (worth about £24m). That means on top of the loan fees and wages, they have paid about £40m on 3 sub appearances.
