I think the midfield is the problem

Sort that, then choose a striker to suit the personnel.

Right now we’d be better off with a target man and trying to win the second ball. We don’t have the midfielders to play through teams, or thread the key pass to pukki.

If we go with a similar midfield again next season, we could have mbappe upfront, but it won’t make a jot of difference if all he gets is over hit through balls and scraps. That’s an exaggeration, mbappe would have had a first half hatrick. But you get my point hopefully
