Back from the game

Well that's what it's all about isn't it?! Brilliant atmosphere, a committed team and a convincing win. Happy days.

I am very much a drum convert. Singing throughout from the away end, positivity abounds!

Onel is the man. Need to keep him fit (obvs). Hopefully the ice pack he emerged wearing on his ankle after the match is only a precaution.

Marquinhos works very hard and certainly "did a job" for the team but he appears to be extremely limited as an attacking threat. Don't think I've seen him beat a man.

Never mind your lucky breakfasts or horse mugs, I was responsible for both goals today. In the first half I asked my sister for the bag of jelly beans they'd brought and as I tipped some in to my hand Gibbs raced clear to slot home. A short time in to the second half I said to my other sister "it's time", before calling for the jelly beans. As I tipped 5 more into my hand, Onel fed Sara who smashed it in to the old onion bag! Magic (jelly) beans! They were the only two occasions I had them so surely can't be a coincidence!

Shout out to the blonde-haired, pony-tailed, besunglassed ultras chant leader. Get that man a megaphone! Can't have seen much of the match as he had his back to it conducting the faithful. Angus spotted him after the match and ran to give him his shirt. Just desserts.

People unfurling national flags down the front, along with "gimme your shirt" placards, is all a bit desperate and unbecoming innit.
