Hanley and Gibson remind of the kids at school who were forced to do football in PE

Given that it's what they do for a living it is staggering that they are so inept and yet Gibson was at one point part of the England set-up. Hanley is now being touted by lazy commentators as the next f88king Franz Beckenbaur, because Scotland failed to concede in one 'all hands to the pump' game against Spain, in which the visitors spurned a load of chances from corners and set pieces where they weren't marked properly or picked up.
We need every player to be comfortable on the ball if we're going to persist with this bulls**t strategy of playing everything out from defence. Even then I still thing Sargent will win you more possession higher up the pitch then we will ever generate with Captain Caveman and 'Gibbon' trapping the ball further than they can kick it.
I've had it with this existing bunch of players and the lack of ownership or consistency shown against bang average Championship opposition. We should be absolutely annihilating teams like Luton and Blackburn and going toe to toe with Burnley and Sheff Utd for automatic promotion.
Not even sure what the answer is beyond a wholesale clear-out in the summer and that would need to include Pukki, Sargent and McClean as well as Hanley, Gibson and a few others.
It's all cyclical I know and we've bounced back before, but they collectively look worse than hapless and devoid of ideas when it comes to breaking well organised teams down.
Fuck it. Wine...
