Isn’t ‘success’ completely subjective? After all when my

children were young my biggest objective was to spend as little time away from them as possible. It wasn’t a selfless decision, although I thought it best for the kids for me and my wife to spend as much time with them as possible, it was because I enjoyed it so much it was what I wanted to do. To me I was successful in achieving that but to JH clearly that isn’t his idea of success. Not that I’m questioning his commitment to his kids, not in the least, it’s just different objectives to achieving what we as individuals think is successful.
