I had to do that once. I was closing a horrible case, it had all gone wrong and my witnesses had collapsed and the tribunal hated us. And I’d forgotten to book that slot, and everywhere was full. So I thought - I know somewhere so expensive that it will have a room free. And lo I had 5 days in the Savoy. Everyone said “that must have been great” but it was s**t, getting back at midnight, getting up at 6, literally just paying to sleep and wash there
