his American step-father's surname, so one would imagine the German pronunciation Vargner if the former, and more of a Robert Wagner pronunciation if the latter.

His actual father was Thai. Got his mum preggars and did a runner and then she married an American whilst pregnant, which is rather a whirlwind romance to say the least.
