Agree, Wagner is clearly making it clear and simple for him

I think the talent has always been there, he's had some rough luck with injuries, he was the bright spot in the prem post-covid like he was the bright spot with the dross early this season.

It does feel like Smith just said "go run at them" and didn't really respect him beyond that.

Maybe it's as simple as is Onel doesn't quite grasp something Wagner can switch to German? Not sure why Farke abandoned him, not technical enough?

Either way he really deserves a couple more years for me
