I do try to contextualise my points, tho I have got sucked into the tit for tat arguing more than I (or anyone) would want.

I just find the Farke/Smith/Wagner stuff needlessly reductive and get fed up with the repeated assertion that a number of us (I've always assumed I was part of that gang) had it in for Smith from the start. There's precious little basis to that, but it keeps getting waved around as a stick to beat a chunk of the fans with. Whatever the pros and cons of DeanSmiths rein, I don't think he really was undermined by the fanbase. Even at the end, the vibe was a shrug of, well that's a shame it didn't work.
