But on a very serious note, while the BBC have no doubt enables this,

they’re also kind of being held up as the single source of celebrity sex offenders and paedophiles from a particular period in time.

What’s really disturbing is how many have probably gone undetected or uncharged (like Peel) and then extrapolate that to how many there must have been in other media organisations who aren’t even doing as much as the BBC to expose them, never mind the fact of how widespread the abuse was when enabled. That cannot be something that people (mostly men) were only capable of and eager to do in that small space of time in history.

It scares me how many people who think that way are clearly among us every day and would behave the same if the controls were as lax as the 1970s/80s BBC
