Da Vinci Code a flop at Cannes festival

Apparently no-one applauded at all at the end. I suppose that just because the french are discerning enough to recognise buls**t, doesn't mean the yanks (or even the brits) won't love it, but having tried to read the book and given up after three chapters, I can't say I'm surprised.
