David Wagner's press conference ahead of Saturday's game away at Millwall gets underway at 2️⃣pm.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
DW: “It is the same squad as last week. We’ve had a good week of training.”
DW on Jonny Rowe: “He will play in the U21s game on Monday. He is edging closer to a return to the squad.”
DW: “It was good for Teemu to have another week of training. We’ve just had a block of five games in two weeks. We are excited for the challenge of Millwall.”
DW on the 🐐: “200 appearances for a club is just great. If you see his numbers for goals and assists then it’s even more impressive.”
DW on Millwall: “We are focused on the football match and on ourselves. 3000 away supporters are following us and this is the highest of the season. We must be ready for this challenge.”
DW on Millwall: "They're very direct and physical. We need to make sure we're ready for this challenge. There's not a lot of points between the teams, so we're excited."
DW: “The expectation is to perform on your highest level. I hope we can feed off the energy of our away support. We need to try our best.”
DW: "We're really looking forward to it, we like to challenge ourselves against opponents like these. We need to make sure our principles are right and get a positive result."
DW on the 3000 fans: “They won’t be there and be silent. They will do everything to get a positive result. In all the away games we’ve had so far they’ve been great.”
DW on the fans: "The fans send their own message in how many go the the games. They'll show the noise and do everything, like we will do, to get a positive result."
DW: "Home or away, we need to make sure we're totally focussed. Make sure you look like a Norwich City team."
DW: “I didn’t know that they hadn’t lost at home since September. We want to challenge ourselves against them.”
DW on the experience in his squad: "They are top professionals. They made it very easy for me and my backroom staff to settle in."
DW: “Kenny McLean has played so consistently on the highest level. He is a real fighter. Grant (Hanley) has adapted and been brave to play out from the back. He is aggressive. They both need a goal now.”
DW: “I think the table is so close. I’m not really interested in it. We want to perform on the highest level home or away against any opponent.”
DW on Omobamidele: “He is a real talent. He still has lots of space to improve, but he’s open minded to working on this. He was tired after a period of starts, so we made the decision to play Gibbo (Ben Gibson). We will work with him and I’m pleased with him.”
DW on Sarge: "He's close, but not quite close enough. He won't be back for Millwall."
DW: "We have good competition at centre-back. Each player pushes his competitor, which is good to have."
