Been there done it and just renewed the Season tickets

I gave up several years ago, but kept going regularly by buying tickets when required.
I found getting tickets on occasion very difficult and a real pain queuing etc etc.
I also missed the match day routine of meeting friends and familiar faces, and felt I had become an outsider almost when things were going really well.
My son and daughter (4 and 11) are starting to get into football so we got season tickets this season, I can honestly say despite the occasionally dire performances I’ve loved going again.
I think you will regret giving up if my personal experience is anything to go by…
