My experience was good - BCFC fans in my local bought me a curry to cheer me up!

That said they do have a bad reputation generally (I live not far from Brum and worked in the City for almost 30 years) The games they have against Villa are pretty evil. Loads of trouble. Their support comes from East and South Birmingham and East Brum especially has some large deprived estates. Villa fans (who are generally nicer) are from the North and West of the City Centre which is a bit more affluent - especially Sutton Coldfield.

Same applies to Wolves - the fans I know are all decent, but I am well aware they have a sizeable number of pure troublemakers. If you ever go to Molineux do NOT use the underpass to get to the ground. Cross the main road at the lights.

West Brom generally are fine. Just don't like them, probably because most of my friends round here do support them. Always preferred Wolves 'cos of their colours. As a kid growing up in Norwich I supported any team in Yellow or a shade of Yellow!
