Well, a couple of things I suppose

First, the thought experiment wasn’t “choose a woman to punch in the face”. It was “choose a famous person to punch in the face”. So it had a purpose, which was to elicit which famous people annoy others enough for them to contemplate hypothetical physical violence. (Like the famous “would you kill the fat man?” question. There is a moral purpose behind the scenario.) Pants’ question about how to escape forced incest, by contrast, had no purpose, other than to shock and disgust.

Second, it *did* shock and disgust. I admit that I am probably enured to the shock of punching people in the face, having spent 3 years doing it as an amateur boxer. Even so, in my own answer to the thought experiment I stated that I didn’t approve of men punching women and so I chose a man. But I was neither shocked nor disgusted by others choosing women, given the set up, whereas the shock and disgust of forced incest was visceral.
