He speaks very eloquently

Even had a couple of Valentines day jokes in there (the one with the journo answering the phone was properly funny).

Eloquent in press conferences at least helps to point to him being able to get his messages across in training and from the sideline too.

Frankly, watching it through this morning it was just lovely seeing the players working in a system that played to their strengths.

McLean dropping back into a back three to allow the fullbacks to bomb on was the (Tettey and Skipp based) bedrock that this team was moulded around. Completely abandoning that system (pre-Smith) never made much sense to me. I could understand having different approaches, but we seemed to decide that we weren't even going to try that style to change games or against different opponents.

Hopefully we can start to build some flexibility.

And... How good was Onel? Amazing.

But really heartening how the players seemed to know what their roles were and did the off the ball pressing to generate space for others.

Promising.
