I can't get excited by the reality of the current state of English football. We're not rich enough to compete in the top flight, we're not rubbish enough to just enjoy it for what it is.

The only joy in it for me at the moment is that my son is too young to give a f**k about any of this and he just likes watching us play, and one daughter sleeps with a Pukki football card under her pillow because Daddy likes Norwich. Simple pleasures.
