My reasoning (bear with me) is that back with the Worthy rebuild we sold Jackson, who I rated as our best centre back and went with Malky and Fleming - neither of whom I particularly rated... But they gelled better than either one did with Jackson.

That's ultimately my point - and to all the other replies.

Some (I'd say quite a few) of the names being slated here will be able to do a decent job, in the right system, and likely with just one or two additions.

They weren't all world beaters the seasons we went up as champs and they're not all s**t now.

But yep, time for a shuffle and a reappraisal.

The Farke/Smith/Wagner stuff is a distraction, it was never going to be that simple, but also the direction of travel with Smith, after a year, did nothing to suggest that that was the solution.

But yeah, I'm a glass half full kind of a guy, it's my USP here... Hehehheh
