Thing is, he's still not really playing as a 9

he's in this weird kind of 10 / kind of second striker role that doesn't suit him any more than playing wide did.

I'd ditch playing two strikers and go back to 4-2-3-1 (Pukki up top) or 4-3-3 with actual wingers and one striker (Sarge).

But no, he's not playing well atm.
