My former fiancée’s family village is destroyed. 10 mins from epicentre. They haven’t had

anybody teach them in four days since the quake so they are on their own. Lacking food and water. It’s freezing.

It’s in the mountains so hard to reach, even if Erdogan was interested in helping Kurds and Alevi.

The family I know are healthy but obviously struggling and lost a lot. But I used to go to that village about three times a year and it’s horrific to see the images and stories coming out.

The real death toll will be huge.
