depends on the teacher...

We had one where (if we were quiet at all) the regular things we'd all do would be being hidden under the tables when he walked back in, or someone would be hidden under the coats at the top of the lockers and burst out half way through the lesson.

Best was when he popped out whilst we were watching some TV based thing, so we reversed the tables/chairs (and his desk) so he when he came back in he found us with our backs to the blackboard and his desk & TV unit now at what had been the back of the class. He just stopped and stood at the door for 5 minutes, then walked off again, and didn't come back for the rest of that lesson.

How this guy never had a breakdown I will never know.
