Of course…the ‘convenient’ thing to do

I suspect Krul is more enigmatic off the field than Gunn and that probably suits Wagner’s very personable and positive style.
As likeable as Hernandez is, it is shocking how little control he has of a football once he starts to run. That said, he does seem to act as more of a catalyst than many others.
The ‘divorce’ from Smith was necessary, but by no means will act as a panacea for successful transition.
Yesterday was almost a free hit in the sense that we haven’t got a hope in help of automatic and Burnley will steamroller most of the other competing clubs too, if not all of them.
Need to win the winnable games and try to build a squad capable of being able to give the likes of Bournemouth or the current West Ham side a decent game and I suspect we’re somewhat off either at the moment.
So…I suspect the majority would settle for a group who give everything and a manager who engages with the fans, as an acceptable return for the ticket price.
The footballing world is almost unrecognisable from a decade ago as far as being able to compete at PL level is concerned. I for one don’t want them to risk everything to satisfy people who don’t have the intelligence to understand that. You’ve only got to look at the Derbys and Sheff W’s to see how badly it could go wrong. A full stadium in a lovely city isn’t a bad place to be…it’s only football after all.
