that the advantage with birds is that if their habitat changes, they can fly somewhere else.

Twas a bit flippant, but, in cost/benefit terms you'd think some compromise could be found...

*altho the Cardiff bay project and wetlands does seem to have only provided a place for common or garden ducks, and not the species that it displaced... :-/
