Why are we only being linked with midfielders?

Jarrett and Etuhu. Both good players but we don't need them unless Francis leaves. Would much rather we concentrate on keeping Damo who we know is class.
We need a centre-back, a right-back, two wingers and a young striker to replace Svensson. If we had that and lost no more players that we'd have a great squad.
