Exactly. It just makes sense.

Smooth out our energy use, and energy will be cheaper. So for things that can be done at any time - do them when demand is lower and it’s therefore cheaper. Sensible for you, sensible for the country.

We’ve just got used to using energy mindlessly - because we weren’t paying anywhere near the true cost of it (instead we were making our future selves and our children pay it). Now, hopefully, we will start paying the true cost at the time - so we’ll use energy in a more sensible way.
