Presumably you divide the amount being put in by the estimated value per share?

So for example if someone was going to inject £5,000,000 and the value of a share was estimated to be, say, £17.20 then you would allocate them 290,698 shares.

The calculation is probably a bit more complex but I'm guessing that's the general principle.
