Hard to compare eras

But whenever anyone is saying that Emi is the best midfielder we've ever had I do get to thinking of Crook, who had a spooky level of control in his passing. Playmakers seem to have migrated towards the 10 role in recent times - which makes things harder to compare.

We've had some really good midfielders over the years tbf.

Have a soft spot for David Phillips too.
