And if you can't say "field of study", how is acceptable to say "field of wheat" for example? Is it any reminder of fields that's a problem? In fact, wouldn't actual fields (such as those in which people worked) be more of a problem that intangible fields (of study, for example)? In fact, shouldn't we ban actual field? I mean, people might see them, and then what? Seeing them would be worse than merely hearing about their unfortunate continuing existence?

It's a minefield isn't it? Oh s**t, there we are, done it again .... sorry.
