Yeah I think you're right but this is his big problem, he's not a great communicator now

He's conflated chants and boos from the crowd with direct one-on-one abuse.

One isn't helpful (although it's a useful clue to how things are going) the other is unacceptable.

By bundling it up and going off on a weird tangent (that can be neatly compared to Stewart Lee's taxi driver gag) just loses all coherence.

Again, if he's come out and said "personal abuse isn't on" I think 5ge majority of right thinking fans would be behind it.

However, he also kindnof screws himself by mocking, what was it? "5 people with a bed sheet".

He dealt with it all badly.

Lotsmof this could have been dealt with via local press if he hadn't shut them out.
