On the subject of the periodic table... as an organic chemist

I'm ashamed to admit that my periodic table skills/recall is pretty patchy.

Tho also should point out that in twenty odd years of working as a chemist, I don't think I've ever needed to refer to the periodic table to do my work either (and that's not a reflection of my amazing powers of recall).

All of which probably explains why my heart sinks when Chemistry questions come up on Mastermind/Pointless/any other quiz show...

Always happy to talk about all the funky hexagonal-lookin skeletal structures and stereochemistry instead though.
