and that bloke who "discovered" that goals (i) typically come from inside the box, and (ii) typically resulted from very few prior passes, and therefore (iii) concluded that the best tactic was to keep hoofing it to the big bloke in the box, whenever in possession and from almost anywhere on the pitch.
