Friend at work

Had a right pain getting snags fixed, as Howdens contract with the fitter, rather than the end customer.

My fitter (good carpenter) reckoned that they were good quality and tended to recommend Howdens . I persuaded him to fit an ikea one in the end for me (real wood units about a quarter of the price of elsewhere).

My gut feeling was that there was very little to choose between the actual units until you got to the high end stuff. Spending the money on a really good guy to fit it all and project manage it was definitely the win for me. (needed rewiring, plumbing, gas, plastering floor leveling and wall rebuilding)
