KK would be a gamble for the interim aim

I can’t see much past Wagner for ‘this year’ but I’d be reticent to commit long term. Given his past two clubs and the Webber narrative, he could easily be seen by fans as another ‘Smith’ if we don’t go up and don’t blitz the new season. I can see us having this same conversation again in 12 months.

I’d pick an A N Other for long term, but then I’d want to remove all pressure and expectations of promotion, and so not rush into anything right now.

Personally I’d just pay for a decent interim now and reassess properly in the summer based on which league we are in. I think you could put together a package for someone like Wagner on that basis which could be enticing and might work out. If not then just do the rebuild now.
