I struggle with that a little to be honest

I think there’s a lot of clubs in the league that would be pleased to have a shot at getting Wagner in. There’s two ways of looking at the webber connection:

A) Wagner is an option because of webber, or

B) Webber is being lazy

There’s probably a C, D etc, but I don’t think the answer is B. Surely picking Wagner is higher risk for him given the stick that appears to be coming with it?

Also, there is a possibility that Wagner would only consider a role like ours because he knows Webber.

I think it’s anti-webber sentiment that leads to the view that it’s easy / lazy. Not saying that’s unreasonable, but it also doesn’t mean Wagner isn’t a good option. Certainly miles ahead of Martin ffs.
