*IF* it does cost a lot to get rid of Smith, you have to ask why.

When we got rid of Farke I can't remember much support among the fans for Smith replacing him, whether they supported Farke's dismissal or not. Most were either not particularly happy or were willing to give him a chance now that he had been appointed, but he wasn't someone that people generally clamoured for.

So then you have to ask: if the club has signed him up to a contract that is expensive to exit, why did they do that? What did they think they saw that very few of the fans did?
