1) he's not doing gravy, so, I can see the argument that the roasties aren't much different to chips.
2) in view also of the above, slightly fluid xMP would add some much needed moisture to the plate.
3) I get that mushy peas can divide opinion, but done well, with some fresh mint, they can be glorious.
I mean, I wouldn't have them with a roast, but I can see how you could get there.
And frankly, there have been far far worse crimes perpetuated against food proffered on the forum (props to LW, whose Yorkshire pud pizzas, suggested as a healthier option will live loooooong in my mind. Top wrathing!)
