Wigan Athletic has confirmed press reports that midfielder Jason Jarrett is in talks with a club in the Coca Cola Champiosnhip about a possible deal.
The former Bury ace is out of contract at the JJB and is free to negotiate with any club he wishes.
Latics offered him a three contract and have been in discussions with his representatives, but Jarrett is also weighing up a number of other offers.
Wigan boss Paul Jewell said: "We have offered Jason a three year deal but of course he's entitled to talk to whoever he wants and that's what he's doing. I have the up most respect for him both as a person and a footballer and we will wish him well whatever decision he makes."
