Dilemma for the Board must be whether they think Smith is good enough to keep us in the play offs and, if not, could a new manager brought in at this point do any better with the squad we have?

(I think a good manager *could* but it’s a gamble and we could easily do worse - in a way it’s the Farke call all over again, and that didn’t pan out the way the Board would’ve hoped)
