Why are you so obsessed with individuals?

Lineker presented a long piece about Qatar at the start of the tournament, but he's not responsible for editorial decisions. He didn't solely decide to 'pontificate'.

And given he is being paid entirely by the BBC, who will pick up every expense, what difference does it make if he's there or not? He's not taking Qatari money.

I agree that it would have been better if Kane wore the armbands, but it was the national associations who collectively agreed to back down. Why pick on him?
