The focus on homosexuality laws is bizarre

To me when you put it in context. There are 350k Qatari, let's generously assume 5% are gay, making 17,500 Qataris forced to hide their love or risk judicial punishment, or move abroad to a state with more tolerant approaches to homosexuality. Not a great situation most of us probably think.
There are 2 million migrant workers however, paid slave wages, dying every day due to dangerous and exploitative working conditions. These are modern slaves suffering brutal treatment from their owners. To me it looks like the injustice we really should be focusing on instead of rainbow flags which are easy to wear as the players walk on turf soaked in blood.
