I don't think the problem is that the performances are soul destroying in a Hughton sense

I mean, I thought Saturday's game was an entertaining end-to-end game of football that could have gone either way. We do play some really nice stuff at times.

The problem is that we are unable to control any game for more than the odd 20 minute spell (most of our games could be described as "could have gone either way"), and with our budget in this division we really should be able to.
