Dean Smith’s press conference ahead of Middlesbrough will commence at 9️⃣am.
----------------------------------------------------------------
DS on Nunez and Byram: "Nunez is available, he has trained all week. Byram is unavailable, he has a tendon injury.”
DS on Tampa trip: "Everybody has a week off after the Boro game. Players can take their families with them, so everybody is a group and we can create a good atmosphere.”
DS on Sargent’s USA call-up: "His quality and attitude was never in doubt. He is now scoring goals and looking confident. He will get better and I believe will score goals in the Premier League if we can get back there.”
DS on Dimi vs McCallum: "They both have different strengths, so we will have to look at how they are both coping.”
DS on Sara: "The nature of the Championship is games quick and fast. He is now getting his rhythm. He will grow and get better.”
DS on Boro: "It will be a tough game. I don’t believe they deserve to be where they are in the league. They probably haven’t taken enough of their good chances in games.”
DS on Carrow Road: "The most important place to get results is Carrow Road. Our first defeat there was against Preston. We shouldn’t have lost to them or Luton. We want to get back to winning ways there.'
DS on players out of contract:“There will be some players that Stuart will want to start talking with. He knows my thoughts.”
DS on putting stamp on the squad: "Culture wise the players and the club are in a good place. The players come to Colney every day and want to get better.”
DS on Max Aarons: "He had a good game (at Rotherham). He got caught out a few times, but he played a good ball to Gabriel for the first goal. He also made a great block, which he is renowned for celebrating in the dressing room.”
DS on the break: "We will be playing a friendly behind closed doors against a Premier League team the weekend before the Swansea game.”
------------------------------------------------------------
That concludes today’s press conference.
