And - having been there - do think Las Palmas is a very nice place - but....

not sure about some of the other places on Gran Canaria. Some very tacky, but San Augustin is ok. Only ever been to the South Coast (+ Las Palmas) so advice on the rest of the island v welcome, otherwise I will go back to Lanzarote as per norm.
