We're all doomed. Change will take place, but at a glacial pace.

We'll all pay lip service to it, we'll do the easy things which are woefully inadequate to prevent profound climate change, and we'll set ourselves up for decades of incredibly painful, costly adaption. You only need to look at this board, or any other come to that, to confirm this is the case. Our leaders, knowing what we will and won't put up with, will give us what we really want, as none of them are actually capable of leading. They're all in it for their ego and power trip.

It's just going to be yet another dimension in which we are incredibly selfish and leave a huge mess for our children to tidy up.
